From Midwinter to Midsummer 2020/2021 I sailed with my girlfriend Katharina Charpian on our 10m sailing boat to the North of Norway, following the winter snow until the sun never sets. Ski touring, (kite) surfing, hiking and biking all amidst the peak of COVID pandemic, with Norwegian borders closed. Norwegians start their boating season earliest in June, so we had five months of solitude and sailed over 3000 nautical miles between the snow-covered, partly frozen fjords and the wild arctic winter ocean.
